November Birchbox

Now I know this is a little late, however...consider this a favour because - this box was so bloody wonderful that I guarantee any of these products would make a wonderful Christmas pressie!

So, you are welcome in advance!

Novembers box was in collaboration with Tatler Magazine. For those of you who don't know Tatler, it is a fabulously British, glossy magazine which features fashion and lifestyle and follows the lives and events of those in high society...all very glamourous!
In true Tatler/Birchbox style, this box is nothing short of stunning! With all my favourite colours and a beautiful design of peacock feathers...what is not to like!?
Now, getting to the good stuff...

At first glimpse I was a little unsure, not quite sure what to make of this months treats. However, after thorough testing over the last 3 weeks I can confirm I love each and every product.

Firstly lets talk about lips.
This tiny tube has quickly become the one I reach for most, night and day.
Lip Tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is my new hero product. There is nothing worse than chapped, dry lips - especially in the winter time. This product smells and tastes glorious because it is made with peppermint oil. It leaves your lips nourished and soft thanks to the vitamin E, and it's not sticky either! It is actually a lipstick primer, which I have used for this purpose on a couple of occasions and I must say, it does help with the durability of lipstick. However, mostly I use this as a lip balm and it truly is wonderful. A definite repurchase for me!
The next is the Golden Glow BB cream by Marcelle. When I first opened it, I was certain it was not for me, due to the dark colour that comes out of the tube. However, after giving it a test run I was more than pleasantly surprised. It comes out a dark tan colour, but blends onto the skin giving it the most natural, healthy 'golden glow'...hence the name!
Some days I use this as a primer, which really helps when I apply foundation as it helps it go on more evenly and makes it last longer too. Other days, I use this on its own with a little concealer, and it truly is gorgeous. My skin looks like my skin, but on a really REALLY good day! It isn't heavy and it doesn't coat the skin either - it is light, helps to even my skin tone, reduce unwanted shine and covers any slight imperfections. It just makes my skin so silky soft and it is a definite winner in my book!
Nuxe is a brand that I had heard a lot about from beauty bloggers and the like, so I had always been curious to give it a try.  A parisian beauty brand who believe in combining nature and luxury...what's not to like!?
Their Creme Predigieuse is a face moisturiser that is gorgeous and the perfect skin pick me up if you have missed out on some needed sleep, or if stress is taking hold. It has anti-ageing properties, is light on the skin, yet very nourishing and smells heavenly! I love applying this purely because it feels as luxurious and it sounds. It leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated and healthy looking!
In all honestly the Beauty Protector - Protect and Detangle spray is probably the least used of the bunch. Mostly because I use hair oils as my hair as is like a tangled, frizzy lions mane! However, when I have used this - it does exactly as it says.
It detangles and leaves my hair in lovely condition once it is dry. It smells really yummy too which is also a bonus - I'd say it's a take it or leave it product but I still really like it!
Finally we have a new beauty essential for me. The Wet Brush...totally ordinary looking and to the untrained eye, perhaps a little underwhelming. However, this brush is really great! It has the same idea as a tangle teaser, it helps protect your hair when you brush it, causing the least amount of damage when brushing out knots and tangles.
It is very light and feels nice to hold, and with a handle too - I find it so much easier to use than any other 'tangle aid' brush. The bristles are flexible so they move with your hair and it can be used on dry or wet hair. I think this would make a great stocking filler, I'd definitely be happy to receive one!

That's all I have to share this month, I hope you have found this useful!

If you haven't signed up to Birchbox, I do recommend it. It's like it's your birthday every month and is always a surprise!

I will be sure to report back with December's too once I have given everything a fair test drive.
