December Birchbox - Christmas Edition

It is no surprise that the December, Christmas Birchbox that was delivered to my door was a little more special this month.

And by special looking, I mean bloody beautiful! This is the Merry & Bright edition.
Not your normal drawer type box, but perhaps the box you could store makeup brushes...or special keepsakes.
Inside is a little canvas bag filled with treats for partying or pampering depending on how you are feeling this festive season!

First up we have the Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm. I must admit, as I tend to go for the windswept and interesting look, this isn't a product I have reached for much this month. However when I did run some through damp hair, I did notice my hair was sleeker than usual once dry. I think this would be good for the hair perfecting types but perhaps not for me!
Now the next product I would be more than happy to invest in - Dr Brandt Pore Dermbrasion. For a more even skin tone, unclogged pores and a brighter complexion, this was right up my street! It feels slightly grainy and tingles on the skin, which I like because it feels like it is working. It is full of salicylic acid which is known to help lots of different kinds of skin conditions. Afterward using this in the shower, gently massaging it into my skin, it felt so soft, smooth and looked brighter...WIN.
The next product, which was the full sized item - The Ciate Fierce Flicks eyeliner pen. This to start with, was a love hate product for me. I thought the felt tip nib made a rather messy, uneven job of my flicks. However, after a few attempts I can happily report that it just takes a little practice. The nib is very fine which lets you be precise with your wings, and makes it good for building up for a more dramatic look, or just a subtle lining to make your eyes stand out.
When I saw one of the products was from Benefit, I was instantly excited. Having used and loved a vast amount of their products, I am always willing to try more. I am not entirely Dew the Hula is necessarily one for me, considering I have the colouring of a ghost.. However, I reckon during the summer - it might be nice to apply to give myself a healthy glow. It is a light liquid bronzer that is easily blended onto the skin to give you a nice sun kissed look, without the shimmer!

This last product, I will be honest in saying I am yet to use. My reasoning is 1. I haven't had the chance but 2. because I feel this would be the perfect treat after a late night, bringing in the New Year. This second full size product is to help combat tired & puffy eyes. It smoothes and brightens the skin around the eyes to help you look and feel more awake. This bio-cellulose mask, is infused with vitamin C rich coconut juice and brightening licorice root extract, which is known for it's skin healing properties. I am definitely keen to give this a try soon!
I hope you have enjoyed this little insight into my December Birchbox. It really is the best treat each month and worth signing up for!
